A variety of scholarships are available to female veterans who wish to pursue postsecondary studies. Scholarships for women veterans are available from a variety of veteran's and female veteran's associations. Some scholarships for female veterans are limited to veterans from a particular branch of the military, such as the U.S. Army.
U.S. Army Women's Foundation Legacy Society Legacy Scholarships
The U.S. Army Women's Foundation Legacy Society provides educational grant money to female Army veterans through its Legacy Scholarships Program. Legacy Scholarships are awarded in varying amounts. To be eligible, an applicant must be female and must be a veteran of the U.S. Army, the U.S. Army Reserve or the U.S. Army National Guard. A student must also be an undergraduate junior or senior at the time of application, and must have a grade point average of at least 3.0. The annual deadline for application is February 1. Heroes at Home Scholarships for Women Veterans
The organization Royal Neighbors of America provides educational grant money to female veterans through Heroes at Home Scholarships for Women Veterans. Heroes at Home Scholarships for Women Veterans are awarded annually in the amount of $2,500, and may be used to defray the cost of tuition, fees, books and living expenses. To be eligible, a student must be a female veteran who has honorably completed her service. She must also have a history of community involvement, and must possess leadership skills. The annual deadline for application is June 1.

Women's Memorial Foundation Scholarship Program
The Women's Memorial Foundation offers two scholarships for female veterans attending college. Both scholarships are awarded in in the amount of $500. The Sarah Marjorie Kelley Scholarship is limited to female veterans pursuing a degree in a technical discipline such as science or engineering. The LTC Margaret L. Ellerman Scholarship is available to female veterans pursuing a degree in any area of study. Both scholarships are available to veterans from any branch of the military. To be eligible, an applicant must be a United States citizen, must demonstrate financial need, must have a grade point average of at least 3.25, and must be pursuing a bachelor's degree or a master's degree.
