You could save a lot of money

These days, it's harder and harder to know that you have money. It is harder to save a lot of money, harder to get a job, and harder to manage expenses. Here are some tips to help make sure you always have money.

Step 1

The first thing you should do if you want to save a lot of money is create a budget of all of your expenses. You may be surprised how much of your money going to what locations if you add it all up. Try your best to cut out expenses that aren't absolutely necessary.

Step 2

If you want to always make sure you save a lot of money, put six months worth of essential expenses into a savings account. In case of an emergency or a job loss, you will need to have money there for you.

Step 3

It takes money to make money. So, put any extra money outside of the six month's expenses into an investment. Right now, the stock market is relatively low, so it's a great time to buy.

Step 4

You might feel like you have money if you are always using your credit card. But in reality, credit cards take away money through interest. The same goes with payday loans: they ultimately hurt you. So don't use payday loans or credit cards to help if you are hurting for money.

Step 5

When you finally do start to save money, don't immediately take the money and do something foolish with it, like spend it on something expensive you've always wanted to celebrate your savings at a fancy restaurant. Purchases and celebrations can wait until you've saved up for years and you know you are completely secure and won't need to have that money.

Step 6

A bank ATM card is better than a check because it's free, and better than cash because - if you report it immediately - you don't lose anything if you are robbed.

Step 7

Try to buy in bulk things that you know you will need - like paper towels. If you buy them when they are on sale you can save a lot of money in the long run. This will cost money in the short run but will help you have money in the long run.
