Verizon is a full-service communication provider that offers cell phone, land line, Internet and TV plans for residential and business applications. Verizon offers savings and discounts for bundle plans to encourage upselling you to more of their services. However, if you only need "non-mobile" phone services, Verizon offers an Internet-based voice over IP plan called fiOS and a standard plan for traditional hardwired phones--the latter of which is the lowest cost phone service with Verizon.
Access Verizon's official website at Verizon.com
Click "Residential" to enter the residential phone, TV and Internet section of their website. From the middle horizontal menu bar, click "Phone" to open a drop-down box. Click "Standard Plans" from the drop-down box.
Click the "Order Now" button under the $52.99/month plan to open a signup wizard that will guide you through setting up a new account or moving your service to a new home. This phone plan includes unlimited local, regional and long-distance across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. The plan does not include voice mail, caller ID, call waiting, call forwarding or three-way calling.
