How to Make an Eye Appointment at the Wal-Mart Vision Care Center

Walmart offers full vision-care centers in over 2,500 Walmart locations, all equipped with professionals who can administer eye exams, fit you for eyeglasses or contact lenses and assist you with any similar vision care needs. If you have never been to one of these centers, you need to find out how to make an appointment at one.

Call or visit your local Walmart; the vision care center will be located in the front of the building. If you are unable to find the telephone number for the vision center in the phone book or an online phone book like YellowPages.com, simply call the main Walmart phone number and ask to be transferred to the vision care center.

Ask to set up an appointment and explain the services you would like. The center can perform vision exams, prescribe eyeglasses, lenses and contact lenses, test for cataracts and macular degeneration, screen for glaucoma, and diagnose eye infections. The centers are also child-friendly and diabetic-friendly.

Ask about insurance coverage if applicable. Let them know your insurance provider and ask what amount of the services will be covered. If they are unable to assist, contact your insurance provider directly and ask what type of coverage you will receive.

Show up for your appointment and obtain the desired services.
