Your SSI Disability check is generally mailed to your on the same day each month. As a result, it usually arrives in your mailbox on the same day each month. However, there is a possibility of receiving your check a few days late. If more than a few days have passed, it is likely that your check is lost or stolen. If your check is stolen, there is no need to worry. The Social Security Administration will see to it that you get the benefits due to you.
Contact the Social Security Administration. The number to call is 800-772-1213. The hours to call are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can also visit your local Social Security Administration in person (see Resources).
Advise the agency representative that you believe your SSI disability check is stolen. Provide the agency with information, such as your name, Social Security number, date of birth and address.
Wait to receive your replacement check in the mail. The Social Security Administration promises to issue the replacement check as soon as possible. However, no specific time frame is provided.
