How to Dispute Dish Network Credit Card Charges

Dish Network is a direct broadcast satellite service company that operates in the United States. The company offers customers a variety of subscription-based services that feature television, audio programming and interactive television services. Dish Network allows you to pay for these subscription services with a credit card. If Dish Network has billed your credit card and you do not agree with some or all of the charges, there are steps you can take to dispute the credit card charges.

Call Dish Network at 800-333-3474. Tell a customer service representative that you are protesting Dish Network charges that were billed to your credit card. Explain why you disagree with the charges and why Dish Network should reverse the charges and credit your account. If you are not successful getting Dish Network to reverse the charges, write down the name of the person you spoke with and the date of the conversation.

Call the customer service number for your credit card that is listed on the back of the credit card or on your monthly bill. Tell the customer service representative that you would like to dispute a charge that was posted to your credit card.

Provide detailed information to the customer service representative about the charge including the date and amount of the charge. Also, let the customer service representative know that you have tried to resolve the problem with Dish Network and tell her person you spoke with at Dish Network and the date you spoke with them.

Sign and date the dispute paperwork that your credit card company will send you. You should receive the paperwork about seven to 10 business days after contacting your credit card company's customer service department. The paperwork information is already filled in with information about the dispute. Verify all information on the forms for accuracy, sign and date the form and return the forms in a timely manner to the address listed on the forms.

Receive notification from your credit card company about whether it accepted your dispute and the status of any credit you received for the disputed charge. You can expect to receive this notification about 30 to 60 days after initiating the dispute with your credit card company.
