However, there is a possibility of receiving your check a few days late. If more than a few days have passed, it is likely that your check is lost or stolen. If your check is stolen, there is no need to worry. The Social Security Administration will see to it that you get the benefits due to you.

Advise the agency representative that you believe your SSI disability check is stolen. Provide the agency with information, such as your name, Social Security number, date of birth and address.
Wait to receive your replacement check in the mail. The Social Security Administration promises to issue the replacement check as soon as possible. However, no specific time frame is provided.
