How to buy Unclaimed Luggage

Lost luggage gets a second life at the Unclaimed Baggage Center.

Have you ever wondered what happens to lost luggage that is never claimed? A large percentage of it ends up at the Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro, Alabama -- the largest retail store of its kind in the U.S. Only about 0.005% of the billions of bags checked while flying end up permanently separated from their owners, but that's still enough to result in more than one million items passing through the Unclaimed Baggage Center each year.

Step 1

Travel to Scottsboro in northeast Alabama, home of the 40,000-square-foot Unclaimed Baggage Center, or visit the sister store, UBC, etc., in Boaz, Alabama.

Step 2

Explore the approximately 7,000 new items that are put out each day. You'll find luggage, clothing, sporting goods, cameras, electronics, jewelry and more.

Step 3

Join the email list to receive email alerts about special events and sales.
