Whenever you buy new furniture, unless you don't own any furniture already, you have to find something to do with the furniture you're replacing. If you don't have any family members who need it or friends who could use it, and you don't want to go through the time and effort of selling your used furniture in Los Angeles, you can always donate to charity. All you need to do is find a charity that will accept what you have and drop it off.
Contact local charities to see if they will accept your donations. The Boys and Girls Club, the National Furniture Bank and the Freecycle Network all have branches and donation centers located in the city of Los Angeles. These are just three charities that will accept your furniture as a donation, but there are plenty of other options to consider such as the Salvation Army and Goodwill.
Bring your used furniture to the charity's drop-off center. Alternatively, some charities will offer a pick-up service where they will come to your home and collect the used furniture that you're trying to get rid of. Contact the charity you choose to find out what donation options they offer.
Fill out the donation paperwork and claim your donation receipt. When you donate used furniture to a charity, you can write those donations off on your taxes for the year.
