Scholarships help make education affordable.

CVS offers a number of scholarships for those looking to advance their education. The scholarships include the CVS Caremark Corporate Scholarship for Children of CVS Employees, CVS/All Kids Can Scholarship for Individuals with Autism, the CVS/Pharmacy Scholarship with the University of Southern California, as well as the CVS/Pharmacy Scholarship with the United Negro College Fund.

CVS Caremark Corporate Scholarships

CVS offers scholarships to children of their full-time employees, made possible by the Caremark Charitable Trust at CVS. Factors considered include academic achievement, extracurricular activities, community service and work experience. The scholarship review committee also looks at the financial need of the applicant and requires recommendations for the scholarship application. Funds can be used to cover tuition expenses including fees, books and supplies. Applicants may also fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if financial need will be a factor in the application. The application deadline is in May. Winners are selected in August. In 2009, CVS provided 179 children of CVS employees with $424,000 in scholarships.

CVS/All Kids Scholars Program

The Autism Society of America grants scholarships and awards to organizations and individuals who serve in the autism community. The CVS/All Kids Scholars Program partners CVS with the Autism Society of America to award a $1,000 scholarship to an individual with autism. The scholarship can be used for post-secondary education including vocational study. Individuals are able to nominate themselves. The scholarship application includes a personal essay, recommendations and transcripts. Deadline and application for the CVS/All Kids Scholars Program are available from the Autism Society of America.

CVS Pharmacy Scholarship at the University of Southern California

CVS offers undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Southern California (USC) studying pharmacy or pharmacology scholarships toward their education. Students must be in good standing with USC to apply for the scholarship. The scholarship amount varies.

CVS Pharmacy Scholarship and the United Negro College Fund

CVS, along with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), offers the CVS Pharmacy Scholarship to students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in Washington, D.C. and Detroit, Michigan. The CVS Pharmacy Scholarship is available to students studying pharmacology in their junior and senior years of study.
